seem to stop in its satisfying ways.
Can't think of a better way for
Bagel Deli to celebrate its 20th
anniversary than yelling, "We've now
got Rose Guttman too!"
ON A ROLL is what you might
call the opening explosions being cre-
ated by the new Little Daddy's
Parthenon and Coney Island, that wel-
comed folks to No. 1 last Oct. 13 in
Applegate Square, Northwestern and
Inkster.
Three more are scheduled to open
this year ... April Will see one in Tay-
lor, Eureka and 1-75; Royal Oak, 4th
and Main, opens in summer; Troy, 18
Mile and Crooks, also is slated for
summer.
MORE IN LOVE than ever, after
60 years of marriage ... and they didn't
even like each other when first meet-
ing.
But that was 67 years ago, in 1931
at Camp Tamarack ... now just a
memory to smile at as the two look
back on a wonderful life together.
About 115 people who jammed
into a banquet sector of Temple Beth
El to celebrate the 60th anniversary
of Izzy and Fran Malin were treated
to a fine afternoon luncheon of much
fun.
The work that this couple has done
for Temple Beth El and inside and
outside the Jewish community didn't
go unnoticed ... Plaudits galore were
heaped upon them by various person-
ages ... and the Michigan Food &
Beverage Association presented a
plaque for countless years of service.
Marsha Rofel of the Temple Beth
El Choir did numerous fine renditions
of popular melodies ... including duets
with Temple Beth El Cantor Steven
Dubov on show tunes ("Do You Love
Me?" from Fiddler On The Roof), .etc.
... Plus solos by both that were very
well received.
Cantor Harold Orbach of Temple
Israel sang blessings to Iz and Fran
and gave out with jokes, like the girl
who told her father that she wanted
his blessing to marry a cantor ...
When he said no, she asked her dad to
go to the synagogue and hear him sing
The father came back and told his
daughter, "You can marry him. He's
no cantor."
