The movie tells the story of a parrot
whose affection for the little girl who
raised him and inability to lie super-
sede everything else.
The fourth film to be released by
DreamWorks Pictures, Paulie is about
a parrot who doesn't just mimic like
other parrots — he speaks and actual-
ly holds conversations. And he learns
rather quickly that sometimes, talking
can only lead to trouble.
Paulie's been raised by Marie,
played by 5-year-old Hallie Kate
Eisenberg, but he's also helped raise
the little girl — at least, he's helped
her get rid of an awkward stutter. He
continues to yearn for Marie, whose
parents send him away when she
becomes too attached to her feathered
friend.
