Book Program
From Hadassah
Staff at Borders Book Shop, 13 Mile
and Southfield in Birmingham will
share recommendations at a program

hosted by Roosevelt Group of
Hadassah 1 p.m. Thursday, April 16.
Passover snacks will be served.
Price of admission will be a child's
book. Collected books will be donated
to an abuse center for women and
children. Additionally, 15 percent of
the proceeds from books sold during
the meeting will be returned to
Hadassah.

Sisterhood Hosts
Film Classics
The Temple Beth El Sisterhood will
present the third in a series of film
classics 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19.
Featured will be the award-winning
Canadian film The Quarrel, a tale of
two Holocaust survivors accidentally
reunited in a Montreal park.
The film and discussion following
will be presented by Poonam Arora,
reacher of film studies at the
University of Michigan-Dearborn and
a film critic for the Ann Arbor
Observer.
The program is open to the com-
munity. There is no charge for the
presentation and dessert. Reservations
