Garagiola Named Award Winner ongtime sportscaster Joe Garagiola has been named the recipient of the Hank Greenberg Memorial Achievement Award by the Michigan \_ Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. Garagiola will be honored at the eighth annual Hank Greenberg Memorial Golf and Tennis Invitational on June 15 at Tam O'Shanter Country Club in West Bloomfield. Greenberg's son, Stephen, will pre- sent the award in honor of Garagiola's devotion to baseball and his commit- ' ment to humanity through his work with the Baseball Assistance Team. Money raised from the charity event will benefit the Hank Greenberg Memorial Cancer Fund and provide additional resources for ongoing oncology research at Sinai Hospital.
