, ON V V MJY - a Posen Rolls AZA title never in doubt in championship game. LONNY GOLDSMITH Staff Writer KRISTA HUSA Photographer ordan Rosenberg scored a game high 25 points as Posen AZA (13-1) rolled to the 1998 AZA championship, defeating Burns 65-45 on Sunday, April 5, at the Kahn JCC. Jordan Wolfe paced Burns (6-6) with 17 points. In the semi-finals earlier in the afternoon, Burns defeated Sammy B 37-25, and Posen beat Greenberg A 31-25 . Perhaps the most impressive showing of the day was by the Greenberg e team, who made the tip off of their game with only five minutes to spare. Because they won the Regional Convention tournament in December, Greenberg participated in an AZA sectional tournament in Canton, Ohio, the same weekend, and were running late coming back. Following their victory, Posen was presented with the Avram "Bud" Charlip trophy by Charlip's brother, Eliot. ❑ j . Brad Resnick discusses the game with basketball coordinator Denny Brenner.
