Special Needs
Workshops Set

"A Jewish Community for All: How to
Include People with Special Needs" will
be the topic of a two-pm workshop to
be held 1-3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 26,
and 8:45 a.m.-noon Monday, April 27,
at the Agency for Jewish Education in
Southfield.
The program is geared toward fami-
lies, educators, lay leaders, clergy and
professionals. The keynote speaker will
be Michele Fried, project coordinator of
Yad B'Yad (Hand in Hand) in Balti-
more, Md.
The Sunday, April 26, session,
"Making Inclusion Work in Jewish
Educational Programs" will feature a
keynote by Michele Fried followed by a
panel discussion. A kosher lunch is
included. Educators will receive two
NIRIM units for this session.
The Monday, April 27, session, "The
Jewish Community's Responsibility: A
Call to Lay Leaders, Clergy and Profes-
sionals," will feature a keynote by
Michele Fried followed by an interactive
"How-to Implement" workshop. It will
include a kosher continental breakfast.
Respite care for children with special
needs will be provided by the Daniel
Soble Friendship Circle at the Kahn
Jewish Community Center. Sibling
babysitting is also available. Pre-registra-
