A Seder

Pop In
For Pesach

The Jewish Parents Institute will present
a Passover seder 11 a.m. Sunday, April
5, at the Kahn Jewish Community Cen-
ter, West Bloomfield.
A special Haggadah has been written
by JPI parents and students. Lunch will
be catered. The public is invited.
There is a charge and advance reser-
vations are required. For information,

The JCC Child Development Center
will hold an intergenerational Passover
story time and charoset factory 9:30
a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park.
From 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in the JPM
lobby, everyone is invited to try a hand
in making charoset from around the
world. Recipes will be provided. For

Beth El
Support Group

The Temple Beth El Suicide Support
Group, an outgrowth of the Temple's
"Reach for Hope" youth suicide preven-
tion program, will be facilitated by
Dorit Silver 11:45-1:15 p.m. Thursdays.
There is no charge for the support

Council Hosts
Pesach Lunch

The Cooperative Council of Jewish
Women's Organizations will host a
Passover seder luncheon noon Tuesday,
April 14, at the Jewish Community
Center in Oak Park.
The seder hosts Jewish clients from
hospitals, foster homes, half-way houses,
and nursing homes. Bus transportation
is provided if needed.
Entertainment will be provided by
pianist, Galina Feldman; the emcee will
be Max Sosin. For information, call

Shoah Poetry
Is Studied

Poetry from the Shoah will be the
focus of Rabbi Aaron Bergman's week-
ly Latte & Learning adult study session
10-11 a.m. Monday, April 6, at Bor-
ders Books and Music, 30995 Orchard
Lake Road, Farmington Hills.
The charge is $5 for members of
the sponsoring organizations; $7 for
others. Advance registration is not
required, and all are welcome, regard-
less of affiliation, background, or previ-
ous Jewish study experience.
Knowledge of Yiddish is not
required or expected. All study materi-
als will be translated into English.

Church, State
Debate Set

Temple Emanu-El's Mature and Excit-
ing Set (EMES) will host a debate
12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at the
temple.
Robert A. Sedler, professor of con-
stitutional law at Wayne State Univer-
sity Law School and advocate of sepa-
ration of church and state, and Dr.
Carl M. Dibble, an adjunct lecturer at
the University of Michigan-Dearborn
with a special interest accommodation
for religious beliefs, will speak.
Bagels and coffee will be served.
There is a $2 charge for non-EMES
Members.

EMU Hillel
Calendar Set

EMU Hillel of HMD will host "Cre-
ative Dating" 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7,
at the Hoyt Conference Center on the
campus of Eastern Michigan Universi-
ty. The program is a workshop. The
cost to attend is $2. A pre-program
