bat mitzvah on Saturday, April 4, at
Temple Israel.
She is the daugh-
ter of Nancy and
Jack Shapiro, sis-
ter of Vicki and
Kevin and grand-
child of Dorothy
and Bernard Sof-
fin. She is also
the granddaugh-
ter of the late
Lila and Louis Disner and the late
Sandor Shapiro.
Mitzvah projects included assist-
ing at the Temple Israel Picnic and
volunteering at Yad Ezra. Attending
Abbott Middle School where she is
an honor student, Lori is in the per-
forming arts and plays the flute in
the school band. She enjoys soccer,
skiing and the computer.

Synagogue. He is
the son of Alan
and Sue Kaufman
and the brother
of Jodie and
Emily. Proud grandparents are Lillian
Kaufman, Edward and Ceil Singer
and Herbert Kaufman. Danny is
lucky to have a great-grandmother
Rose Efros.
Danny is an honor student at Hil-
lel Day School. He plays AAA Travel
Hockey, basketball and baseball. He
also enjoys tennis, golf, piano and
volunteering at Yad Ezra and JARC.

Erica Jaffe

Erica Jaffe will celebrate her bat
mitzvah at Temple Shir Shalom on

Friday, April 3.
She is the daugh-
ter of Debbie and
Phil Jaffe and sis-
ter of Emily.
Proud grandpar-
ents are Marilyn
and Don Sachs
and Selma Jaffe.
Erica also is the
granddaughter of the late Ben Jaffe.
Erica's most meaningful mitzvah
project was assisting in the religious
school classes. She attends Abbott
Middle School and enjoys art, dance
and skiing.

Emily Eubanks

Emily Claire Eubanks will become a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, April 4 ,at
Temple Kol Ami.
Emily is the
daughter of
Gayle and Gary
Eubanks and is
Noah's big sister.
She is the grand-
daughter of
Norma and Earl
Eubanks and
Jessie and Shel-
don Stern.
Emily is an honors student at
Abbott Middle School. She is active
in the Stages Program and plays clar-
inet in the symphony band. Emily
also swims for the Sports Club's
Black Dog swim team and was a
member of the West Bloomfield
Middle School's swim team. Her
interests include swimming, skiing,
horseback riding and reading.
Her mitzvah projects have includ-
ed swimming for SCAMP, cleaning
up the West Bloomfield nature trails,
delivering clothes to the Fort Street
Presbyterian Church and singing and
doing craft projects with senior citi-
zens.
