i t me. But our integrity's still the
same; our goals are still the same."
In addition to domestic violence,
JWI focuses on conflict resolution,
prejudice awareness and family devel-
opment. JWI goes into schools to talk
with eighth-graders about prejudice,
and regional director Robin Winner
has planned mother-daughter slumber
parties to foster better communication
between 12-year-old girls and their
mothers.
After relocating from New York,
Laurie Epstein joined because she
wanted to meet other women. She
stayed because she likes the issues
pursues. Barbara Goldsmith joined
because of JWI's advocacy programs.

Speaking out against injustice has
always been a priority for JWI.
Rodman joined in 1947 with many
other young women because she want-
ed to be involved with the Anti-
Defamation League, then a part of
B'nai B'rith.
But, the residential treatment center
has kept her with JWI. In 1972,
Rodman visited the site outside
Jerusalem and was impressed with the
children's
impact it has on
quality of life. "A lot of the girls who
joined B'nai B'rith in those years [did
so for] bowling ... once in a great while
we were fortunate to get somebody
involved and active in the chapter out-
side of bowling. The organization's
about service, great service,"
6 she says.
