Each year at the Excal-
ibur Restaurant's annual
Oscar Night to watch
the Academy Awards on TV and par-
take in the fun festivities, I wear a tux
and then begin feeling a bit out of
place being one of the very, very few.
Owner Marty Wilk, General Man-
ager Victor Dazbaz and others on the
floor always wear tuxes, but heck, they
don't count because Marty, Victor and
their black-tied employees work there.
This year, I said I'd join the crowd
and wear a business suit like all the
rest.
Sure enough, I was in the minority
as guys and gals dressed to kill in all
their finery.
Seems like the Oscar Nights at
Excalibur are getting bigger each year
... The searchlight sweeps the outdoor
sky, red carpet leads to the front door,
large TV screen on the
dance floor, smaller ones
around the room, folks
vying for prizes with bal-
lots (first prize was a trip
for two to Disneyworld
in Orlando, Fla., which

percent correct), etc..
