Manic triumph? You et
For Southfield resident
Lorry Cooper, an avid
movie-goer who often sees
her vorite flicks more than once to
glean every last detail, victory is
sweet. Lorry beat out the competi-
tion by correctly predicting all but
two of this year's Oscar winners.
Lorry's passion for the silver
screen is shared by her husband,
Jerry, who joins his buddies every
Monday for an evening at the the-
ater-. "For 25 years, they've had a
`guy's night at the B-movies,'" says
Lorry The women play canasta and
make them promise to take us to see
all the good film s - ."
This year, Lorry saw all of the
best picture nominees except The
Full Monty, which explains her miss
in the original comedy score catego-
ry. "I loved Titanic and As Good as It
Gets," she says, "but my favorite was
Good Will Hunting. Robin Williams
was fabulous." -
A mother of three grown c -
dren, Lorry teaches eighth grade at
Birney Middle School in Southfield.
Her Grand Prize includes opera tick-
ets, movie tickets, a dinner for two
at Sweet Lorraine's and the opportu
nity to review an upcoming film:

three incorrect picks, are:
