Edward Miller, son of Bobbi and
Michael Miller of West Bloomfield.
Miss Obeler earned her bachelor of
arts degree at California State Universi-
ty, Fresno, and is the business travel
coordinator for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel
in Dearborn. Daniel is a systems pro-
grammer employed by Process Develop-
ment Corporation in Livonia.
An August 1998rwedding is planned
at Temple Beth El.

Stacey Robyn Stern and Cary Ross
Chapman are pleased to announce their
engagement.
Stacey is the daughter of Dr. and
Mrs. Michael Stern, former Detroiters
of Englewood, Colo. She is the grand-
daughter of Betty White Lentzer of
Detroit and Denver, Colo., and Leo
and Sylvia Stern of Farmington Hills.
Cary is the son of Jay and Barbara
Chapman and Cynthia Chapman, all of
Denver.
Stacey graduated from the University
of Colorado and the University of Col-
orado College of Law. She is an associ-
ate attorney at the Denver law firm of
Isaacson Rosenbaum Woods and Levy
PC. Cary received a bachelor of science
degree in business administration from
Arizona State University and a master's
degree in business administration from
the University of Michigan. He is the
director of acquisitions at Asset Man-
agement Group, a Denver investment
firm.
A fall wedding is planned in Denver.

Mr. Emery Weiss of West Bloomfield
and Dr. and Mrs. Irving Kernis of
Orchard Lake are delighted to
announce the engagement of their chil-
dren, Elyse Beth to Steven Joel. Elyse
also is the daughter of the late Elaine
Weiss.
Elyse earned her bachelor of science
in physical education and exercise sci-
ence at Michigan State University. She
is completing her third year at the Uni-
versity of Health Sciences College of
Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City.
Steven earned his bachelor of science in
biology at the University of Michigan
and his doctor of medicine at Wayne
State University School of Medicine.
He will complete his residency in inter-
nal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in
Rochester, Minn.
A June wedding is planned.
