Partying Overtime The Jewish Community Center Purim carnival went so well, it got an extended stay. LONNY GOLDSMITH Staff Writer KRISTA HUSA Photographer redelle Schneider, the director of the Child Development Center at the Kahn Jewish Community Center, expected the March 12 Purim party to last until 11 a.m. The 115 children and their parents had other ideas. The carnival, parade and songfest were so much fun, everybody stayed quite a bit longer. The morning began with a parade through the halls of the JCC, including a stop in Executive Director David Sorkin's office. The child development staff performed a skit for the kids, and afterward the children sang songs before heading to Shifman Hall to play games and win "Shushan Dollars" to exchange for toys.
