A Jewish Association for Residential Care
for persons with developmental disabilities
Southfield, died March 21. Mrs. Simon
was a physical education director at
Dody Elementary and McDowell
Elementary School in Detroit. She was
a member of Brandeis University
Women and very active with the used
book sale and was a past officer of
Temple Beth El Sisterhood.
Mrs. Simon is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, John and Joan
Simon of Franklin, David and Lori
Simon of Birmingham, Andrew and
Denise Simon of Livonia, James and
Jacalyn Simon of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Kathy and Andrew
Erlich, Robert, Michael, Danny, Katie,
Jeffrey, Matthew and Evan Simon. She
was the beloved wife of the late Eugene
Simon and the dear sister of the late
Sadie Weiner, the late Molly Spertner
and the late Barbara Cohen Mellen.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

Beth El for a special fund to be estab-
lished in memory of Eugene and
Margaret Simon. Arrangements by the

SARA SIMON, 80, of Oak Park, died
March 19. Mrs. Simon was a life mem-
ber of Beth Abraham Hillel Moses.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Lynn
Simon of Southfield; daughter and son-
in-law, Helene and Dr. Steven Rubin of
Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren,
Stephanie and Jay Simon; sister, Ann
Goldstein of Southfield.
Interment at Beth Moses Cemetery.

KHAIM VOLOSHIN, 90, of Oak
Park, died March 11.
He is survived by his daughters,
Marra Voloshina of Oak Park, Sarra
Roitman of Israel; grandchildren,
Mikhail Balk, Peter Roitman; great-
grandchild, Olga Roitman.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial

HERBERT WEINBERG, 67, formerly
of Detroit and Oak Park of Mayfield
Hts., Ohio, died March 18. He was
director of the American Yiddish radio
program on stations WJBK and WLIB
for over 30 years. In Cleveland, he
worked for Federated Department
Stores and was later a buyer for Revco
and Cole National Craft and Flower
stores. He then became owner of Just
Frames and ART in S. Euclid, Ohio.
He is survived by his former wife,
Marilyn of Beachwood, Ohio; son,
Michael; grandchildren, Hannah Joy,
Sarah Rachel, Joshua Weinberg of
Minneapolis; daughter and son-in-law,
Helene and Ray Tomecko of Bay
Village, Ohio; sisters and brother-in-
law, Vera Turner of Southfield, Bette
and Herbert Schein of Farmington
Hills; sister-in-law, Lillian Weinberg of
Boca Raton, Fla.
Interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery in
Beachwood.
HENRY 0:WEINER, 77, of Tempe,
Ariz. formerly of Detroit.
He is survived by his wife, Rose
Weiner; daughters and sons-in-law,
Nancy and Lester Mischke of
California, Elizabeth Brooking of
California, Suzie and Mike Yacovissi of
Shrevesport,La.; brother and sister-in-
law, David and Roslyn Weiner of Oak
Park; sisters, Sara Velinsky of Southfield,
Esther Weiner of Southfield; five grand-
children. Mr. Weiner was the loving
brother of the late Joseph Weiner and
the late Irving Weiner.
Services and interment were held in
Arizona. This announcement was
placed at the request of the family by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.
JEREMY DENE WEISBERG, 60, of
Royal Oak, died March 18. Mrs,
Weisberg was a Detroit public school
teacher.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Dana Jonathon and
Lisa Blake of Lansing; daughter,
Elizabeth Susan and- Douglas Lee Irons
of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Lily
Catherine Blake, Chelsea Renea,
Brandon Douglas and Ryan Johnathon
Irons. Mrs. Weisberg was the beloved
wife of the late Irving Weisberg.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

MAX YOST, former Detroiter of
Phoenix, Ariz., died Feb 28.
He is survived by his sister, Helen
Rosenheck of Phoenix; brothers, Ben
Yoscovitz of Ventura, Calif , Raymond
Yost of Phoenix. He was the son of the
late Morris and Mollie Yoscovitz; broth-
er of the late Julius Yost and the late
Nathan Yost. Services in Phoenix.
