alternate Sundays, she volunteers
with the Daniel Soble Friendship
Circle and participates in activities
with special needs children. She is
donating the centerpieces from her
luncheon to her friends at the
Friendship Circle.

gious school and for her mitzvah pro-
jects she made get well cards for the
children's cancer unit at Sinai Hospi-
tal; she also volunteers as a teacher's
aid at her temple on Sunday morn-
ings.

Brandon Friedman-Yarsike

Brandon Friedman-Yarsike former
Detroiter and Hillel student will cele-
brate his bar mitzvah on Saturday,
March 21, at Temple Shomer Emu-
mim in Toledo,
Ohio.
Brandon is an
honor student at
Timberstone
Junior High
where he partici-
pates in track and
writing for the
school newspaper.
He was recently
chosen to partici-
pate in the Midwest Talent Search
sponsored by Northwestern Universi-
ty. Brandon enjoys computers, golf,
basketball and spending summers at
Camp Walden.
Participating in the ceremony will
be parents Dr. Mark and Lyn Weiner
of Sylvania, Ohio, and Mark Yarsike
of Oak Park; brother Chad, grandpar-
ents Dr. Seymour and Jane Weiner,
Harry and Marlene Friedman and
Sima Yarsike all of West Bloomfield.
Brandon also is the grandson of the
late Sam Yarsike.
Brandon fed the homeless at the
Cherry Street Mission for his mitzvah
project.
