One of her all-time favorite little-girl parties was cen- tered around a Madame Butterfly theme. "We decorated everything with Japanese fans and butterflies and everyone came with a kimono on," Stalburg says. Her West Bloomfield-based corn- pany, named after the title of the renowned movie, An Affair to Remember, fashions most of her din- ing and decor themes after movies or stage productions, thus the Madame Butterfly concept. For Photo by Bill Hansen another child's party, Stalburg complement- ed a rock garden theme with rocks showing the guests' faces and names for place cards. As for food, think plain and light.
