JNCelebrate LINDA BACHRACK Special to The Jewish News en elegantly dressed young women will precede Becca Rosen down the aisle when she marries Steve Goodman next August. Their gowns were the least of Becca's concerns, thanks to designer Nicole Miller. "I wanted something simple, non- traditional and flattering to everyone," says Becca of her quest for the ideal bridesmaid dress. "I looked first at Han- nah Rose in Bloomfield Hills and found the perfect gown in five minutes." Becca's sister Lisa, a new mom, accompanied the bride on her dress search. Lisa considers herself an expert at attendant attire, having been in a number of weddings and experienced some sub-quality gowns. "I've had $200 dresses unravel at the wedding," she says. They didn't even make it to the reception." So, Becca, a Birmingham resident who works for WPLT Radio was con- vinced she should look for quality and wearability. The spring formal wear selection at - Hannah Rose includes an array of pas- tel-colored confections by Nicole Miller and Vera Wang. Becca chose a platinum moss crepe gown with an empire waist and scooped neckline. "Simple elegance," says Becca's mother, Faye, nodding her approval. "The color will reflect the light beauti- fully," she says, already imagining the entire ambience of the ceremony. Becca's dress choice mirrors the dom- inant trend in this season's special occa- sion dresses. "Pastels are hot," says Nancy Karbal, Hannah Rose store man- ager. "Look for ice blue, pink cham- pagne, ivory, pale taupe and Becca's beautiful silvery platinum."
