Unity Shabbat
For Community
Congregations throughout the com-
munity will participate in Unity
Shabbat in recognition and respect
for the various streams of Judaism,
March 27 and 28.
The annual observance of Unity
Shabbat was initiated by the Jewish
Community Council to increase
understanding about each other's
practices among Orthodox, Conserv-
ative and Reform Jews. During Unity
Shabbat, each congregation will
encourage its membership to observe
Shabbat, and many will have Shab-
bat-appropriate activities. A pamphlet
about Unity Shabbat will be distrib-
uted to area congregations.
For a pamphlet or information,
call Kari Grosinger, (248) 642-4260.
