When an older parent makes that announcement,
what can a loving child say?

"Son,
I'd like
to move
in with
you."

"Sure, Dad, though two of the kids are still in college,
we're already in hock and there's no one at home
during the day to be with you"?

Or are there other options?

Agencies of the Jewish Federation's Commission on Jewish Eldercare

Services know how painful the decisions can be — and how difficult it is

for an older adult to make decisions alone.

Your contribution to the Allied Jewish Campaign helps make other

options possible: counseling services, recreational and social activities,

assisted living and independent apartments, pastoral care and Jewish

programs for those living in nursing homes, adult day care, in-home

support, volunteer opportunities. And an ElderLink information and

referral service to give the answers you need.

All of these services are offered by agencies of the Jewish Federation of

Metropolitan Detroit. But they cost money. Can we afford to provide

them?

Can we afford not to?

You decide.

Please make your pledge to the Allied Jewish Campaign now.

This spring, an Israel 50th Anniversary Scroll of Honor will appear in The Jewish News

in tribute to our partnership with the people of Israel. To be included in this
alphabetical listing of all contributors of $18 and more to the Campaign,
please fill out the form below and return it now to: 50th Anniversary Scroll
of Honor, PO Box 2030, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303-2030.
