Kremer moved to Detroit in 1982, and worked in residential real estate. She was responsible for the start-up leasing and marketing of Detroit's Riverfront Apartments. Then she worked for Equity Group of Chicago before starting out on her own. Like many small-business owners, Kremer keeps very busy. She works long hours during the week and parts of most weekends. She doesn't have the time to devote to other organiza- tions, including religious ones. She even dropped her health club mem- bership. Kremer's Web site has 2,000 listings "You never know" applies to Kremer's personal life, as well. After being single for many years, Kremer eloped on Dec. 20. The marriage was planned, but kept secret. Five minutes after the Las Vegas ceremony, the new couple called everyone they knew. She and her new husband, George Frankovich, dated for seven years after they met at an apartment industry open house. Kremer has one daughter from a previous marriage, Janessa, who seems to be following in her mother's foot- steps. Janessa, 27, worked as an accountant in a CPA firm, then went into mainframe programming. When Kremer looks back at her life, she realizes how each job has given her the experience to run a suc- cessful new company. "Nobody should discount what they've done," she said. "It's all a part of who you are."
