Purim Event

Adat Shalom Synagogue members and
friends will celebrate at the syna-
gogue's annual Purim Party Plus, a
buffet dinner with music and dancing,
beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, March
14, at the synagogue.
This year's Purim event will feature
a silent auction with a variety of gifts
up for bid.
A $250 ticket admits two to the
party and provides one ticket in the
Purim drawing. Prizes include
$10,000, a trip to Israel for two, a big
screen television, a $1,000 Israel bond
and a $500 Israel bond. One may
attend the party and auction without
participating in the drawing for . $75
per person.

Marks Purim

Reading of the megillah will take place
at Purim services at Temple Israel 7
p.m. Wednesday, March 11, followed
by refreshments.
A Purim party for nursery and reli-
gious school students pre-kindergarten
through third grade will begin at 5:30
p.m. and will feature clowns, masks,
face-painting, crowns and misloach
manot baskets. Everyone is expected in
costumes. A pizza dinner with sundaes
and hamentashen for dessert will be
served; there is a charge for the dinner.
The Purim carnival is scheduled for
noon-3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, and
will consist of costumes, games, prizes,
raffles and refreshments. There is a
charge; tickets are available through
the school office.

annual Passover seder 5:30 p.m.
