Human Services. Topics they will
focus on are budget priorities for the
year, welfare reform and legislative ini-
tiatives that affect social service
providers. Immigrant and elderly
issues and religious freedom also will
be discussed.
Admission is $10 per person and
includes lunch. Background materials,

Congregation Beth Shalom will
present its spring adult study
classes, Tuesday, March 3 through
March 31.
The classes are: "Bible Class - The
Book of Numbers" taught by Myron
Jackler; "Holidays - The Secret Code
of Judaism" taught by Andy Zack;
"Understanding the Haggadah" taught
by Joe Lewis (a three-part class - the
first three weeks); "How to Talk to
Your Children About God" taught by
Jonathan Falk ( a two-part class - the
last two weeks); a film series taught by
Rev. Sammy Semp; and Beginning
Hebrew taught by Shoshanna Ben-
Ozer.
All classes will begin at 7:30 p.m.
except for the film series which will
begin at 7 p.m. The fee for members
is $10 and for non-members is $25.
