The BiG Story

Oy!
Such A Kidder!

p

urim is the -time for haman-
tashen, but it's also a time for
joking, kidding and generally
making fools of everyone, including
ourselves.
Part of this fun-poking includes the -
performing of Purimshpiels, silly little
plays and skits. These spoofs can
be biting or sarcastic or just plain
goofy.
Writing . your own Purimshpiels
can be easy, too. Chooe a friend
or family member and either corn-
: pose or improvise a "day in the
life" scenario of that person. The
trick is to exaggerate traits and
1 mannerisms of the "spoofee." Or
change the words of a popular
song or poem to dishonor-honor
your entire family. Make copies for
everyone to sing or read along. Just
remember, it's all in fun.
Another idea is to write a letter full
of lies and exaggerations and send
it to your friends, teachers and even
your parents. Your stories can be as
kooky as your imagination and lack
of good taste allow.
Here's the first lie to tell. Make the
following Purim cookie recipes and
tell everyone they're fat-free and
low-calorie. Ha!
