was named in loving memory of her
maternal grandfather Dr. Richard
Norman Weiss and her great-great-
aunt Ann Burns, at,a ceremony offi-
ciated by Rabbi Stacie Fine. Proud
grandparents are Ilene Weiss of West
Bloomfield and Joseph Ryzewicz of
Dudley, Mass. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Carmen
Ryzewicz.

Ariel Blake
Ariel Blake will celebrate his bar
mitzvah on Saturday, March 7, at
Congregation
Beth Shalom. Ari
is the son of
Andrea Blake and
David Blake,
brother of
Raphael and
Miriam. Proud
grandparents are
Irving and Mary
Kempner of
Tucson, Ariz., Rose and Jack Dendel
of Allegan, Mich., and Marvin Blake
of Southfield.
Ari is an honor student at Norup
Middle School. In his spare time he
plays ice hockey on Southfield's pee-
wee Ossewa team, likes rollerblading,
skiing, basketball, cooking and
music.
For his mitzvah projects he spent
time with JARC residents and at the
Menorah House.

Michael Rudy
Michael David Rudy will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Adat
Shalom
Synagogue on
Saturday, March
7. He is the son
of Rae Rudy and
William Rudy
and the brother
of Jason. He is
the grandson of
Ann Rudy and
Pauline
Sztarkman. Mike
also is the grandson of the late Sol
Rudy and Morris Sztarkman.
Mike is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School and
attends Adat Shalom religious school.
He enjoys sports of all kinds, espe-
cially soccer, skiing, basketball and
golf.
