community that didn't want the truth
known.
"People and the Land" was not a
documentary. It was produced solely
for the purpose of propagandizing the
Arab declaration that they were forced
from their homeland by hostile Israelis
who have no claim to Israel.
What Mr. Antoniotti should be
more concerned with is the differenti-
ation between fact and propaganda.

I read with dismay that the publisher
of The Jewish News believes that Mon-
ica Lewinsky could have been anyone's
daughter in our Jewish community
("The Tale Of Monica Lewinsky
Strikes Close To Home For Us" Feb.
20). Absolutely not!
It is ludicrous to believe that a Jew-
ish daughter raised with Torah princi-
ples would have gotten herself into
such a compromising situation.
This kind of behavior can be traced
directly to the religious upbringing in
the home. People who believe that
they have the right to pick and choose
which of the 613 mitzvot to accept,
also pick and choose their ethics. "Sit-
uational ethics" in the home openly
teaches children it is OK to lead lives
of "situation morality." One flows
from the other.
Please, Mr. Publisher, do not put
our Torah-educated children in your
dirty pot.

Friendship Circle
Friend Is Thanked

I am writing to thank a wonderful bat
mitzvah girl named Arica Jacobson.
She donated her centerpieces to the
children of a group called the Friend-
ship Circle.
Many may be unaware of this
group. It is a drop-off group at the
West Bloomfield Jewish Community
Center that happens every few Sun-
days. This is a group for our Jewish
special needs children and it gives the
parents and families some respite
while the children are having lots of
fun.
Each child has his or her own vol-
unteer (or two) and is well taken care
of. I have a 9 1/2-year-old daughter,
Elana, who goes to this group. When
