Knowing Ira Kaufman's great grandson Chad and great granddaughter Stephanie were

molitoring the chapel's Web site and answering e-mail inquires, we don't have to imagine

the smile on Ira's face, we just look

BERNARD "BEN" POLLACK, 78,
formerly of Oak Park of Berkeley, Calif.
died Feb. 23. He earned a bachelor's
degree from the Detroit Institute of
Technology. He was an accountant,
sports fan and a member of the Titans.
He is survived by his children,
Harry and Joanne Pollack of Berkeley,
Reid Pollack of Boulder, Colo., Lori
Dale and Bob Jaffe of Canyon, Calif,
grandchildren, Rebecca and Hannah
Pollack, Sabra and Asher Jaffe; brothers
and sisters, Sam, Toby, Sarah, Nate,
Harry, Manny, Fred, Iry and their fam-
ilies.

ESTELLE CAROL ROSEN, 55, of
Southfield, died Feb. 27.
She is survived by her husband,
David; son and daughter-in-law, Steven
and Beth Zatkoff; daughte Leslie
Zatkoff of Southfield, Wendy d Jill
Rosen; brother, Mark Michalso of
Novi. Services and interment at \

MAX RUBIN, 80, of Oak Park, died
Feb. 28.
He is survived by his wife, Esther
Rubin; daughter and son-in-law, Laura
and Richard Grandon of Southfield;
grandchildren, Steven (Carey)
Grandon, Julie (Chris) Mison. He was
the brother of the late Irene Gurwin
and Fred Rubin.

JOSEPH GEORGE SHUR, 73, of
Oak Park, died Feb. 28.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Bob and Michelle
Shur of Farmington Hills; daughters

of Tucson, Ariz., Shelly and Jeff Eagle
of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother and sister-
in-law, Abe and Roz Shur of Denver,

husband of the late Florence Shur.

Bloomfield, died Feb. 28.
She is survived by her husband,

DANIEL STEFFIN, 85, of Farming-
ton Hills, died Feb. 26. Mr. Steffin was
an executive at Fishman Paper Stock
Company and a partner with Ellis Fish-
man and Stephen Fishman. He was a
32nd Degree Mason, a member of
B'nai B'rith and the B'nai David Men's
Club.
Mr. Steffin is survived by his wife, 04
Mary Steffin; daughters and son-in-law,
Gail Nemer of West Bloomfield,
Suzanne and Arnold Portner of Hunt-
ington Woods; grandchildren, Guy
Nemer, Kirk Nemer, Kelly Nemer and
Jason Portner; brothers-in-law and sis-
ters-in-law, Phillip and Phyllis Deytshe
of West Bloomfield, Manuel and Dolly
Rotenberg of Farmington Hills, Milton
and Terry Rotenberg of West Bloom- so
field. He was the brother of the late -
Joseph Steffin, the late Sam Steffin and
the late Mollie Yudkoff, the devoted
son-in-law of the late Julius and Alice
Rotenberg.

SEYMOUR L TUREFF, 75, of
Tamarac, Fla., formerly of Southfield,
died Feb. 22. He was retired from Bur-
roughs/Unisys, where he was director
of training.
He is survived by his wife, Norma
Tureff, daughter and son-in-law, Mar-
cia and Marc Manson of Farmington
Hills; son and daughter-in-law,
Lawrence and Ruth Tureff of Pinckney;
grandchildren, Benjamin and Jeremy
Manson, Lauren and Ryan Tureff;
brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and
Helen Tureff of Riverdale, N.Y.

EVE 'WEINER, 73, of Oak Park, died
Feb. 24.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, David and Marlene
Weiner of Beachwood, Ohio, Daniel
and Lisa Weiner of West Bloomfield;
brother and sister-in-law, Louis L. an
Aliza Weiner of Forest Hills, N.Y.;
grandsons, Benjamin, Joshua,
Jonathan, Jason and Adam. She was the
beloved wife of the late Meyer "Mike"
Weiner. Services and arrangements by
