died Feb. 25.
Mrs. Gurwin is survived by her

grandchildren, Adam and Robbie Bell,
Amanda and Brian Gurwin. She was
the beloved wife of the late Louis J.
Gurwin; loving mother of the late
Robert C. Gurwin and the late Char-
lotte Gurwin; adoring grandmother of
the late Richard Gurwin.

MAX HORN, 91, of St. Louis Park,
Minn., died Feb. 25.
He is survived by his daughters and
son-in-law, Elaine and Sheldon Green-
berg of Farmington Hills, Shirley
Thomas of Golden Valley, Minn.;
grandchildren, Shelly and Rick Chris-
tensen, Ralph Thomas, Susan and
Marvin Wagner, Mimi and Donald
Marton, Fern Greenberg, Mark and
Deeanna Greenberg; nine great-grand-
sons. He was the husband of the late
Ann Horn.

MANUEL "MANNY" KATZMAN,
76, of West Bloomfield, died Feb.
28.
He is survived by his wife, Roslyn;
daughters and son-in-law, Ronna Katz-
man, Cheri Berlin, Gayle and Gary
Samuels, all of West Bloomfield; sister
and brother-in-law, Ruthe and Yale
Kaliff of Detroit; mother-in-law, Lil-

Danielle Bluford, Robyn and Leslee
Berlin, Evan and Seth Samuels.

ington Hills, died Feb. 27. He was a

Jewish Congress and he volunteered at
Sinai in the Meals on Wheels program.
He is survived by his wife, Helga;

Singer of Rochester Hills; grandchil-
dren, Robbyn and Eric Singer, Joshua
and Blake Kay. He was the brother of
the late Max Kwartowicz and Sarah

CECILLE E. KERNER, 73, of West
Bloomfield, died March 2. Mrs. Kern-
er was a market research representa-
tive. She was a member of the Rose
Morgan Choir and the Parkinsons
Foundation.

Ronald Rycus of East Lansing, Teri
and Steven Barkin of West Bloomfield;
