Dorie Shwedel, president, Dorie
Shwedel & Associates Inc.; Kenneth
Eisenberg, chief executive officer, Ken-
wal Steel Corporation; and Daniel
Medow, president, Standard Distribut-
ing, will head Jewish Vocational Ser-
vices' (JVS) first annual Strictly Busi-
ness awards luncheon Wednesday,
May 27, at the Hyatt Regency, Dear-
born.
Shwedel, Eisenberg and Medow are
actively involved with the agency, serv-
ing on the JVS_ Board of Trustees and
Marketing and Development Com-
mittee. In addition, Shwedel serves on
the Professional Services and Personnel
committees and Medow serves on the
Finance Committee. Eisenberg also
has participated on the Endowment
Committee.
Robert A. Lutz, vice chairman of
Chrysler Corporation, will give the
keynote address at the event.
Additionally, five awards will be
presented by JVS to showcase exem-
plary employers in metropolitan
Detroit and the achievements of their
employees. "Employee of the Year"
awards will honor four people who -
have been placed with their employer
through JVS. One "Business Leader-
ship" award will be presented to a
company that has demonstrated an
outstanding commitment to the voca-
tional success of its employees.

Adat Shalom Synagogue youth will
celebrate Purim with educational pro-
gramming and merriment from March
7 through March 15.
From 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Shabbat
morning, March 7, children 2 1/2
through 6 years are invited to a Purim
story hour in the synagogue's library.
Nursery and kindergarten young-
sters will participate in mini-megillah
readings led by Rabbi Efry Spectre,
Rabbi Daniel Nevins and Cantor
Howard Glantz on Monday and Tues-
day, March 9 and 10. Later that week,
the preschoolers will have Purim par-
ties featuring storyteller Ardith
Laskowski, and puppeteers from Pup-
pet Art.
