The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit presents the Cut-
Time Players, an ensemble of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, in a perfor-
mance of Stravinsky's Ellistoire du Soldat at the D. Dan and Betty Kahn build-
ing in West Bloomfield. The score, which calls for violin, flute, bass trombone,
clarinet, trumpet, double bass, bassoon and percussion, resembles a miniature

Tickle The Ivories

It's a symphony of four Steinway grand pianos played simultaneously. It's the
Lyric Chamber Ensemble's 10th annual Piano Festival, "Americans in Paris," at

pianists Fedora Horowitz, Joseph Gurt, Louis Nagel and Richard Ridenour. $10-

Tune in to TNT for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, a pres-

television and film. Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor will be hon-
ored for Life Achievement.
