Metro Hillel
Events Slated

Applications are now being accepted for
Tri-Trippin' in Israel for Michigan col-
lege students and young adults ages 18-
30. Tri-Trippin' will take place May 10-
22. Trip extensions and stop-overs in
Europe can be arranged. For informa-

Hillel of Metro Detroit is looking for
volunteers to help out at the Purim
Bash 9 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the
Kahn JCC in West Bloomfield. People
are needed to help with registration,
programming, food and prizes. In addi-
tion, the Purim Bash will feature a DJ
and light show, magician, caricaturists,
moon walk, palm reader, casino games.

study session at Oakland University 7-9

The Conservative Minyan's weekly
meeting will be 8 p.m. Monday, March
9, at Hillel.
Volunteers in Action Hillel will host
"Bake Your Own Hamentashen" 7-9:30
p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Hillel. A
portion of the baked goods will be
delivered to Jewish elderly in the Ann
Arbor area.
The Residence Hall Repertory The-
ater will perform Race Attacks 9 p.m.
Tuesday, March 10, at Alice Lloyd resi-
dence hall.
Rabbi Rich Kirschen will facilitate
the discussion at Parsha & Pizza 6-7:15
p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Hillel.
The Reform Chavurah's weekly

A Jewish Women's Forum rap session
will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,

focus on the portrayal of Jewish women
throughout history.
A study session of the classical Tal-
mud tractate of "Ketubot" will be held
7:15-8:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 11,
at Hillel. The class is facilitated by
Rabbi Rich Kirschen and is in English
and Hebrew.
The Jewish Law Students Union will
celebrate Purim 9 p.m. Wednesday,
March 11, at Hillel.
Graduate and Professional Mishneh
Torah Chug will be 9-10:30 a.m.
Thursday, March 12, at Hillel.
Shulchan Ivrit will meet 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 12, at Cava Java Cafe.
VIA Hillel, Hillel's community ser-
vice organization, will prepare and serve
dinner to the homeless on Thursday,
March 12, at First United Methodist
Church. The first shift, from 3-5 p.m.,
will cook food; the second shift, from
5-7 p.m. will serve food.
A Purim celebration will be held
8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Hil-
lel.

Women Host
Birthday Party

The Handler/Zeiger Chapter of Jewish
Women International will host the
March "Birthday Party" for residents at
the Jewish Federation of Apartments in
Oak Park 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10.
This month the featured artists are
Seth Larson, clarinetist, and Rebecca.
Simpson, flutist. The duet will perform
for 45 minutes, and refreshments will
be served afterwards.

Plans Events

The weekend of March 13-15 will be

the Annual SZUSY Purim Retreat at c -
the Hampton Inn, with a visit to
"Second City in the Motor City"
