Ethics Conference

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish Learning
Network, of Michigan, will hold its
annual Conference on Medical and
Professional Ethics on Sunday, March
15, at the Novi Hilton in Novi. The
program will consist of lectures and
meals and will present a pragmatic
approach to medical and professional
issues from ethical and legal Jewish
perspectives. This conference is CME
accredited by Henry Ford Hospital
and meets the criteria for nine credit
hours in Category I of the Physician's
Recognition Award of the American
Medical Association.

Machon Programs
Are Planned

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish Learning
Network of Michigan, will continue
its winter semester classes of
JudaiCollege educational program on
every other Tuesday evening. The
third lecture will be held 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Kahn JCC in
West Bloomfield. Rabbi Avraham
Jacobovitz will lecture on "Engage
the Beauty of Jewish Life." There is
no charge.
Machon L'Torah's Women's pro-
gram's next session of Uniquely Ours,
a program for women by women, will
be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.
25 at Machon. The pre-Purim pre-
sentation will include special guest
speakers Mrs. Yael Weil, Mrs. Lisa
Jacobs, Mrs. Sally Krugel, and Mrs.
Miriam Maor, who will speak on
"The Triumph of Challenge:
Reminiscing, Friendship,
Philanthropy & Celebration," fol
lowed by a Hamantash Shape & Bake
Workshop. There is a $5 charge.

Machon L'Torah will hold an edu-
cational evening in East Lansing with
the Jewish Law. Student Association
of Cooley Law School 6 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Cooley Law
School. Rabbi Jacobovitz will lead a
discussion, which will be followed by
a deli dinner. There is no charge. For
