B'nai B'rith members and community
participants will gather 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue for an informative town hall
meeting. This event is co-sponsored by
The Jewish News and will feature
keynote speaker Richard D. Heideman,
who serves as national chairman for the
B'nai B'rith Center for Public Policy.
Mr. Heideman will focus on B'nai
B'rith's contribution to the American
and international Jewish communities,
discussing a variety of issues that are
in various stages of the legislative
process which are topics of importance
to Jews worldwide.
Also on the evening's agenda, Bruce
Gorosh, regional president, will intro-
duce the new Great Lakes Regional
Board, including Steve Kaplan, assis-
tant Macomb County Prosecutor, who
was just appointed chairman for the
Center of Public Policy.

The Sephardic Community of Greater
Detroit will host a Purim party 6 p.m.
Wednesday, March 11, at
Congregation Beth Achim, 21100 W
12 Mile Rd.
Services will be followed by the
megillah reading at 7:30 p.m.; the
se'udah will be at 8 p.m.
Entertainment for the evening will
feature music by Sasson Natan.
The se'udah is by pre-paid reserva-
tion only. Reservations must be made

Yad Ezra
Purim Tributes

In keeping with the tradition of giving
gifts to the poor on the holiday of
Purim, Yad Ezra will offer specially
designed Purim Tribute Cards for pur-
chase.
Tribute cards come in packets of 4
for $18 and are tax deductible. The
proceeds from the sales are used to
purchase food for the 1,000 needy
families assisted by Yad Ezra. To order,
