Fund-Raiser

Detroit Friends of Alyn Hospital will
host their annual fund-raising event at
the Piston's game noon Sunday, March
22, at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The
event will be held in memory of the
late Sondra Berlin.
Alyn Hospital is Israel's only ortho-
pedic hospital and rehabilitation center
for physically handicapped children.

The Jewish Community Center will
offer a variety of different camps for
the February break, including Winter
Days (K-4th grades), which includes
choices of activities ranging from
swimming, arts and crafts, and sports
to special guests and entertainment.
The JCC also offers a travel camp for
3-6th - graders as well as two sports
variety camps for K-3rd graders and 6-
8th - graders.
The newest addition to the Take a
Break at the "J" family will be the art
specialty camp, "Art Chagall," led by
Diane Smith from the Birmingham
Bloomfield Art Association.
The JPM branch of the JCC will
offer Winter Days (K-4th grades) and
Basketball Camp (6-12 years).

Break day programming begins at 9
a.m. and finishes at 3:30 p.m., with
before and after care available at an
additional cost.

Southfield residents Alicia and Rabbi David A. Nelson accept a gift of an
antique candelabrum at Congregation Beth Shalom's recent Rededication and
Dedication dinner. Congregation past President Art Langer of Farmington Hills
made the presentation to the couple in honor of their 25-year affiliation with the
synagogue.
