MURRAY OVENTHAL, 90, of
Windsor, died Feb. 3. He was a life
member of the Masonic Lodge of
Windsor, Windsor B'nai B'rith, the
Windsor Jewish Community Center,
Congregation Shaar Hashomayim and
the Shriners. He was president of Buy-
Rite Furniture Ltd. in Windsor.
Mr. Oventhal is survived by his lov-
ing wife of 65 years, Dorothy; nieces
and nephews. He was the loving
brother of the late Louis and Samuel
Oventhal and Rebecca Carpol; dear
brother-in-law of the late Ida
Oventhal.
Services were held at the Rachel
Kaplan Hebrew Memorial Chapel in
Windsor. Interment at Shaar
Hashomayim Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to
Congregation Shaar Hashomayim, the
Victoria Order of Nurses or a charity
of one's choice. Arrangements by

IDA OVENTHAL, 78, former

Detroiter of Windsor, died Feb. 8. She
was a member of Shaar Hashomayim
and its sisterhood, a life member of
Wizo Hadassah and a volunteer for
many organizations including the Red
Cross for its blood drives. She was a
graduate of Northern High School in
Detroit.
Mrs. Oventhal is survived by her
daughters and son-in-law, Charlene
and Ron Yudowin of Ypsilanti, Brenda
Oventhal-Saperstein of West
Bloomfield; son, Charles of Windsor;
grandchildren, David Yudowin and
Sari Marissa Saperstein; sister, Faye
Slutsky of Southfield; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Bernie
Appelblatt of Livonia, Esther and Jerry
Green of Laguna Hills, Calif.; sisters-
in-law, Thelma Mickelson-Mazur of
