ISADORE GUSSIN, 88, formerly of
Southfield of Laguna Hills, Calif.,
died Jan. 29. Mr. Gussin designed
machines used in the production of
steel drum and barrel parts. He was
the owner of Metal Processing and
Engineering Corporation.
He is survived by his daughter and
son-in-law, Deborah and Dr. Kenneth
Tucker of West Bloomfield; son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Gary Gussin and
Susan Brown of Iowa City; grandchil-
dren, Sara and Jeremy Gussin, Lysa
and Dr. Jason Postula-Stein, P'ninah
Stein; stepgrandchildren, David
Tucker, Dr. Laura Struble, Dr. Hadar
Tucker, Dr. Patricia Wells; stepgreat-
grandchildren, Rachel and Ethan
Tucker; sister, Edith Goldin; brother,
Sam Gussin; sister-in-law, Merry
Silber; brothers-in-law, Albert J. Silber
and Paul Kurtz. He was the husband
of the late Janet Kurtz Gussin.

STEVEN M. JACOBS, 51, formerly

of Farmington Hills of Bridgewater,
N.J., died Jan. 31. He earned a bache-
lor's degree at Ferris State College and
a master's degree at Wayne State
University. He was a manager for
Lucent Technologies in Warren, N.J.
He had been with AT&T for 28 years.
He was a member of Bridgewater's
Temple Shalom Men's Club and a
supporter of City of Hope.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara;
sons, Scott and Brian; parents, Aaron
and Irene Jacobs; brothers, Paul,
Howard and Donald.

LOUIS KANAREK, 81, of
Southfield, died Feb. 6.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley
Kanarek; brother and sister-in-law,
Max and Lillian Kanarek of Menlo
Park, Calif. Kanarek was the loving
father of the late Gerald Kanarek and
the late Edward Kanarek.

died Feb. 7. Mr. Klein was a self-
employed jeweler and for 18 years, the
owner of Diamond Collateral in
Detroit.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia

Darlene and Barry Fayne of
Southfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Alan and Noreen Klein of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Randy and
Danny Fayne, Sammi and Benjie
Klein; sister, Faye Weiner of West
Bloomfield.

BERTHA KOHN, 88, of Hollywood,

Fla., died Feb. 3.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Martin and Laura
Sacks Kohn; grandchildren, Maggie
and Anna; sister, Rose Frankel. She
was the beloved wife of the late Philip
Kohn.
Services were held in Hollywood;
graveside services were held at Beth El
Memorial Park in Livonia.
