Attend Meetings

B'nai B'rith Youth Organization will
hold its AZA and BBG International
Executive Board meetings in Wash-
ington, D.C., from Thursday, Feb.
12, through Monday, Feb. 16.
Shari Katz of Ahava BBG, serving
as BBG international president, will
run the meetings of the BBG Interna-
tional Board. Joel Snyder of Kishon
AZA, who serves as AZA Internation-
al Secretary and Michigan Region
AZA president, will participate in the
meetings. Leslie Salba from Disraeli
BBG, who is Michigan Region BBG
president, and David Rochkind of
Marx AZA, who serves as Michigan
Region AZA vice-president, will rep-
resent Michigan Region BBYO at the
international meetings.
AZAA Basketball League will not
meet on Sunday, Feb. 15, due to win-
ter break. Starting on Feb. 22 and
running through the month of
March, the league will meet on Sun-
day afternoons 4:30-6:30 p.m., at the
West Bloomfield Jewish Community
Center.

MSU Hillel
Slates Events

The Freshman Group will have a
bagel brunch at 11:30 a.m. Sunday,
Feb. 15, at MSU Hillel, no charge.
Hillel's graduate and young profes-
sionals group will have a storytelling
night at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at
Hillel. Free; coffee and dessert will be
served.
Rabbi Jacobowitz will speak at
6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Hillel.
He will provide a free deli dinner, and
his topic will be "The Jewish Way in
Love Marriage and Intimacy."
Soul Sisters, a group of Jewish and
African-American women singers will
perform at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16,
in the Kellogg Center Auditorium.
This event is free and sponsored by
Hillel, Jewish Studies and Women's
Studies.
Hillel will have Shabbat in East
Lansing at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20.

Musical Society, percussionist Chen
Zimbalista will perform 8 p.m. Satur-
day Feb. 14, in Rackham Auditorium.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, and Monday,
Feb. 16, an international conference,
"A Century of Modern Jewish Poli-
tics: The Bund and Zionism in
Poland and Eastern Europe," will be
held at Rackham Assembly Hall.

Orthodox Minyan Shabbaton from
Friday, Feb. 20 - Saturday, Feb. 21.
The Shabbaton will feature a Friday
night Oneg Shabbat, a Saturday after-
noon Jewish studies class complete
with source sheets. In addition, Rabbi
Zeff will give a d'var Torah during the
third meal on Saturday afternoon.
