or Adam Sandler, whose
comedy is based in good
part on being humorously
abrasive, The Wedding
Singer, a sweet-natured romantic com-

right reasons."
"This guy is funny and realistic, he
reacts the way people react in life,"
said Drew Barrymore about Sandler's
Robbie Hart.
"Some of those moments are sort of
Adam Sandlerish, but he's also a girl's
dream: He's sweet, he's sensitive, he's
funny, he's aware."
But there's a snag. After Robbie gets
left standing at the altar by his long-

(Barrymore) — she's about to marry a
Delorean-driving yuppie — turns into

shoot a movie. I want to be around
people I want to hang out with. It's
important to me to have fun."
