Hold Discussion

A joint meeting of the Congregation
Shir Tikvah and Detroit-based
Plymouth United Church of Christ
Book Clubs will occur 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 15, at a congregant's
home, to discuss Pearlie 6- Tessie by
Joyce Horowitz.
During the joint meeting, book
selections alternate between having a
Jewish or black author and theme so
that all involved have an opportunity
to discuss books from black and
Jewish perspectives.

ZOA Board
Hears Professor

Professor Edith Covensky, who
teaches Hebrew language and litera-
ture at Wayne State University, will
address an expanded meeting of
ZOA's Board of Directors and the
Einstein Forum 10:30 a.m. Sunday,
Feb. 15, at the Zionist Cultural
Center in Southfield. She will dis-
cuss "Trends in Modern Hebrew
Literature."
Professor Covensky is a Hebrew
poet who grew up in Israel and pub-
lished several books of poetry in bi-
lingual editions.
There will be refreshments.
