\- 1 /-- Both Chalom and Silverstein hope to compete in the 2002 Olympics. Both have worked hard for years to achieve their successes and neither plans to slow down anytime soon. Skating, Silverstein said, is "not so much recreational anymore. It's defi- nitely a sport for me. Each year we do it, it gets a little more serious because there's more responsibilities." Chalom, who attends Madonna University part-time when she isn't skating, said she and partner Gates "just really need to concentrate on skating. "It gets easier because you're older and you're able to keep your focus on the task at hand," Chalom said. "But when you're older you also have more complications to deal with and other things that you have to take care of in your life, besides just thinking about skating and school." Both teams will develop new skat- ing routines before next season. ❑ You'll be remembered every day a gift of love from M.B. Jewelers is worn. M.B.
