Bar/Bat.Mitzvahs

Joanna Shelden
Joanna Shelden will become a bat
mitzvah on Saturday, Jan. 31, at
Temple Kol Ami.
Joanna is the
daughter of
=Michael and
Kathleen Shelden
and sister of Steve
and Danny. Her
grandparents are
Judith Shelden,
Manuel and Laura
Shelden, James
Sheridan and the late Marie Sheridan.
As a mitzvah project, Joanna worked
as a volunteer at Safety Town in
Birmingham. She is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at Bloomfield Hills Middle School.

Scott Lachman
Scott Lachman will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Jan. 31, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.

services.
Scott is the son of Janice and
\–Michael Lachman. He is the grandson
of Blanche and Philip Needle, Nate
Lachman and the late Shirley
Lachman. Also participating in the
service will be Scott's sister Audra.
Scott is an honor student at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School. His hobbies
include competitive tennis, basketball,
surfing the Internet and playing his
trumpet in the seventh-grade band.
--Scott's mitzvah projects included mak-
'ing Passover food baskets for Yad Ezra,
volunteering for the B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization and participating in the
Shaarey Zedek/Salvation Army joint
program, "Shining Light Into
Darkness."

Carly Granadier
1_-Soldman will
celebrate her bat
mitzvah on
Saturday, Jan. 31,
at Temple Israel.
She is the daugh-
ter of Nancy and
Dr. Lary
Goldman and sister of Elizabeth.

Proud grandparents are Beverly and
Norman Goldman and Eileen and
Gerald Granadier.
An honor student at Cranbrook
Kingswood Middle School, Carly is
interested in drama, reading, basket-
ball and skiing. Mitzvah projects
included volunteering at Yad Ezra.

Lauren Studenberg
Lauren Ashley Studenberg will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel on Saturday, Jan. 31.
She is the daughter of Sharon and
Allan Studenberg and sister of Scott
and Danielle.
Proud grandpar-
ents are Miriam
and Julius
Studenberg and
Antoinette and
John Costanza.
Lauren attends
West Hills Middle
School and her
hobbies include
piano, tennis, soccer, volleyball and
swimming. She assisted with shelter
birthday parties and volunteered at the
Holocaust Memorial Center as part of
her mitzvah projects.

Beth Isenberg
Beth Allana Isenberg will observe her
bat mitzvah at Havdalah services on
Saturday, Jan. 31,
at Temple Israel.
She is the daughter
of Eileen and
Jerome Isenberg
and grandchild of
Mary and Jack
Isenberg. She also
is the granddaugh-
ter of the late Lee
and Benjamin
Goldhoff.
Baby-sitting at Temple Israel during
the High Holy Day services was her
favorite mitzvah project. Beth attends
Abbott Middle School and enjoys soft-
ball, computers, music and TV.
