Ami Book Club will take place 7:30

The Temple Kol Ami Cultural
Committee will host a tour of
Detroit's new Museum of African
American History Sunday, Feb. 8.
The tour will be followed by dinner
at the Beans and Cornbread restau-
rant in Southfield.
The fee of $18 per person covers
the tour of the museum and round-
trip transportation by chartered bus.
Those who prefer to use their own
transportation are also welcome to
participate at the same fee. Both
Temple members and non-members
are invited.

Rabbi Bechor
The Sephardic Community of
Greater Detroit will sponsor Rabbi
Avraham Bechor at a special
Shabbaton weekend Feb., 13-15, at
Congregation Beth Achim.
Services on Friday, Feb. 13, will
be at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed
by dinner at 7 p.m. Services on
Saturday, Feb. 14, will be at 9 a.m.,
followed by lunch, and at 5:30 p.m.
Sunday services, Feb. 15, begin at 9
a.m. and will be followed by a dis-
cussion group.
There is a charge for the Shabbat
dinner and reservations must be

a study session taught by Rabbi
Elliot Pachter of B'nai Moshe, 11

The subject will be "Making
Medical Decisions the Jewish Way:
Reproductive Technology." There is a
charge: $5 for members of the spon-
soring organizations, $7 for others.
