At Beth Achim

Congregation Beth Achim will hold
its annual Tu B'Shevat seder 6:30
p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the syna-

conduct the seder, which will feature
traditional holiday foods and songs.

Social Action
Shabbat Planned

The Social Action Committee of
Temple Kol Ami will host its annual
Shabbat 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at
the temple. This year's program,
which will immediately follow
services, will kick off activities in
preparation of Kol Ami's Mitzvah
Week, Oct. 18-25, when the
temple will host the South Oakland
Shelter.
Participating in the program will

Service and New Bethel Shelter.

Two Services
At Kol Ami

Temple Kol Ami will hold a special
learning service 8 p.m. Friday, Feb.
6. The service, led by Rabbi Amy
Brodsky, will include the traditional
liturgy interspersed with explanations
of the prayers and customs of
Shabbat worship.
Rabbi Brodsky will lead the
"Teddy Bear Tot Shabbat" service 9
a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. Children are
invited to bring their favorite teddy
bear or other stuffed animal to wor-
ship nth them that morning. Tot
Shabbat services are held on a regular
basis throughout the year. Call the

A traditional Shabbat morning

Family Camp
At Butzel

Families of Adat Shalom Synagogue
will celebrate Shabbat at a family
camp weekend at Butzel Conference
Center in Ortonville, Friday, Jan. 30
- Feb. 1. Children and their parents
will engage in Shabbat observance
and learning, outdoor activities,
games and crafts with Adat Shalom's
clergy and education staff, as well as
the staff of AJE's Jewish Experiences
for Families and Tamarack Camps.
The cost per family includes six
kosher meals, private rooms and
baths, evening staff coverage for
younger children and all program
