Michigan Region BBYO will hold an
Adviser Training Overnight from
Saturday evening, Jan. 24 to Sunday
afternoon, Jan. 25, at the Windsor
Jewish Community Center. All
Michigan Region BBYO advisers are
welcome to attend.
AZAA Basketball League will con-
tinue with games being held on
Sunday afternoon at the West
Bloomfield JCC.
Detroit Teen Connection will
hold a whirlyball program 2 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 25. Admission includes
two games and refreshments. All sev-
enth- and eighth-graders interested
in Teen Connection or adults inter-
ested in volunteering to be an adviser

A bereavement support group, a six-
week group facilitated by Ruth
Aaronson, will begin 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 26, and continue
through April 2 at Temple Israel. The
group's purpose is to help those who
are dealing with the death of a loved
one.

Plan Events
The Men's Club of Congregation
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses will hold
its first breakfast forum of 1998 9:45
a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at the syna-
gogue. Guest speaker of the morning
will be Rick Bloom, host of "Money
Talk" on WXYT radio.
Sunday, Feb. 22 will be an after-
noon of co-ed whirly ball from 4-7
p.m. at Whirly Ball in West
Bloomfield, 5700 Drake Road. Cost

Mysticism
Course Set
An introduction to Jewish mysticism-
and spirituality will be the topic of a
six-week course beginning 10-11
a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at
Congregation Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses.

Machon Hosts
Dinner, Talk
Machon L'Torah, the Jewish
Network of Michigan will hold a
deli dinner 5:30 p.m. on Sunday,
Jan. 25, at the Jewish Resource
Center in Ann Arbor. Rabbi
Avraham Jacobovitz will lead a dis-
cussion on "Why Bad Things -
Happen to Good People." There is

Beth Achim
Youth Events
The Beth Achim Youth Department
will sponsor events for its Nitzanim
(age 3 through second grade) and
B'nai Mazal (third through fifth
grade) youth groups.
The Nitzanim group will go to
Discovery Zone, noon Sunday,
Jan. 25. B'nai Mazal will go to
Phazer Land, noon Sunday, Feb. 1.
Children participating in the events
are asked to bring a dairy lunch
and meet at the synagogue. Parent
drivers are welcome for both
events.
