daughter, greeted guests who stopped to
view the Tequa concept vehicle.

"We wanted the car to stand out,"
explained Rattner.
Using seating material made of
Neoprene wetsuit fabric, Rattner, an
industrial design student, began with
an aquatic theme for the interior. A
purple, aqua, yellow and black graphic
produced a splashy design on the
seats. In fact, the name Tekqua reflects
the blend of technology and aquatic
themes throughout the vehicle.
"Europe always uses bright colors.
We should get more inventive and
wild here," noted Rattner. "People are
tired of mauve and teal."
Rattner, the daughter of Bonnie, a
playwright, and Larry, an attorney,
admits that some of her family mem-
