Wonder how many know that the / famed London Chop House was cl originally called Heed's Chop House "Under the Management of Lester Gruber, Formerly of the London Bar." Even then Les had his wine cellar stocked full of chateau-bottled vintage wines ... And only imported wines were sold ... by the bottle or glass. Most expensive dinners at Heed's Chop House were whole broiled lob- \--\ ster and special sirloin steak ... each $1.50. A boneless perch dinner for which the London Chop House received wide note, was then 65 cents ... Its chef, Eddie Dobler, was "Famous as the Perch King of America." El
