Charlotte Sokoloff of Pembroke Pines,
Fla., Ms. Sokoloff is a Judaic studies
teacher at the Abraham Joshua Heschel
School in New York City.
Mr. Traurig is a graduate of Akiva
Hebrew Day School. He studied at
eshivat HaKotel in Jerusalem. He is a
graduate of the University of Michigan
and received his law degree from
Columbia University School of Law.
The grandson of Maurice Lowenthal of
Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Traurig is an
attorney at Battler Fowler LLP in New
York City.
A February wedding is planned at
the Young Israel of Brookline.

Turken-Reifler

Nancy Reifler and Dale Turken recently
were married at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield. Rabbi Paul Yedwab and
Cantor Harold Orbach officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Don
and Faye Reifler of West Bloomfield.
The groom is the son of Sharon and
Ernie Turken of Farmington Hills.
Sharon Reifler, sister of the bride,
was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were Julie Berman, Jody Cohn, Amy
Cole, Marla Folbe, Sarah Greene,
Suzanne Herman, Melissa Lieberman,
Robyn Raimi and Randi Weiss. The
best man was Scott Turken, brother of
the groom. Groomsmen were J.J.
Reifler and Alan Reifler, brothers of the
bride, Jay Berlin, Jeff Berlin and Eric
;j-lrfurken, cousins of the groom, Erik
Brand, Adam Folbe, Robbie
Gerstenfeld, Eric Rosenfeld, Philip
Siegel, Craig Simon, Evan Simon and
Steve Zager. Also participating in the
ceremony were Lillian Reifler, grand-
mother of the bride, and Bea Boslow,

Kantor-Markowitz

Elise Beth Markowitz and Raymond
Michael Kantor were married recently
at the Hotel Baronette in Novi. Rabbi
Harold Loss officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry
and Cookie Markowitz of Farmington
Hills. The groom is the son of Sandy
and Linda Kantor of Farmington Hills.
Dana and Mindy Markowitz, sisters
of the bride, were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jamie Dunn, Sheri
Feldman, Robyn Glasser, Leslie
Lessnau, sister of the groom, and
Stefanie Weisberg. The best man was
Alan Kantor, the groom's brother.
Groomsmen were Mike Blum, Tim
Lessnau, the groom's brother-in-law,
Adam Lett and Sam Lulkin.
Also participating in the ceremony
were the grandparents of the bride
Albert and Shirley Farber and grand-
parents of the groom Rose Kravitz and
William Kantor.
Following honeymoons in Harbor
Springs and Jamaica, the couple reside
in Farmington Hills.

Pevos-Bussell

Debra Pevos and Jeffrey Bussell recently
were married. Rabbi Dannel Schwartz
of Temple Shir Shalom officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel
and Susan Pevos of West Bloomfield.
The groom is the son of Joel and Joan
Bussell of Southfield.
The couple's children, Anna
Terebelo and Adam Bussell, participat-
ed in the ceremony. Also participating
were the bride's grandmother, Betty
Pevos, and the couple's siblings, David
and Kasey Bussell, David and Julie
Houchins, and Roy Shelef.
The couple will reside in West
Bloomfield.
