Seder Planned
For Tu B'Shevat

Congregation Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses Sisterhood will hold a Tu
B'Shevat seder, noon Wednesday,
Feb. 11, at the synagogue. "Cooking
with Mimi" is the theme of thepro-
ram; Mimi Markofsky will cook
food for the luncheon. The cost is
$5.

B'nai Moshe
Family Shabbat

Congregation B'nai Moshe will hold
two drop-in Family Shabbat services
on Saturday morning, Jan. 24 and all
interested families are invited, without
regard to synagogue membership.
From 9:50-10:40 a.m. there will
be a family service for those with
children in grades 3 and 4. From
10:40-11:30 a.m., there will be a sec-
ond family service, this one geared to
families with children in pre-kinder-
garten through grade 2.
B'nai Moshe family Shabbat ser-
vices are led by LIFE (Learning Is a
Family Experience) instructor Michael
Weiss and feature relaxed, interactive
prayer, song, Torah study, and family
time with a -Shabbat theme.

Special Service
At Adat Shalom

Adat Shalom Synagogue families with
children at Hillel Day School are
invited to participate in a Kabbalat
Shabbat-Maariv service and dinner
5:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16. Hillel j
youngsters will lead the service. The
hildren will present a playlet and par-
ticipate in Shabbat z'mirot.

Publicity Deadlines

The normal deadline for local
news and publicity items is noon
Thursday, eight days prior to issue
date. The deadline for out-of-
town obituaries is 10 a.m.
Tuesday, three days prior to issue
date.
All material must be typewrit-
ten, double-spaced, on 81/2 x 11
paper and include the name and
daytime telephone number of
sender.
