Although Women In Green, a right-
wing Israeli organization, is coordinat-
ing and funding Mrs. Boim's tour,
coordinators of her Detroit appearance
prefer to tone down the political rami-
fications, saying the matter is not "one
of right vs. left, but of right vs. wrong."
David Gad-Harf, executive director
of the Jewish Community Council of
Metropolitan Detroit, says he does not
share Mrs. Boim's politics, but he does
share her concern that Boim's murderer
be brought to justice.
"I was attracted to this case because
it wasn't a particular issue, it was a par-
ticular person: a mother upset that her
son's murder is not being handled

properly by the authorities," said Gad-
Harf. "We can all identify with the
plight of a mother who's lost her son."
Although Hanawi's extradition may
be a long shot, Gad-Harf believes it is
important that people are aware of the
situation.
"[Extradition] will never happen if
her story remains a secret. It may take
many months, if not years, to see some
results, but you have to start some-
where and gather support little by lit-
