Pool Records
Taking a Dive
Jamie Hertza, a junior at West
Bloomfield High School, has broken
two pool diving records in his first two
meets of the season.
On Dec. 16, he broke the North
Farmington High School record by
earning 324.78 points against
Farmington H.S. The mark also broke
a 20-year-old WBHS record.
On Jan. 6, he set the record at his
own pool by diving for 303 points,
breaking the two-year-old mark set by
Hertza's older brother, Jeremy.
In addition to his diving skills,
Hertza also is the Amateur Athletic
Union national gymnastics champion.
