the construction stage ... Taylor is
scheduled to open March 1 and Troy
on June 1 ... Both this year.
Now that Little Daddy's is in shape
and tables are being turned in proper
order, with customers getting the orig-
inal intention of service, patrons who
stayed away because of the difficult-to-
handle overwhelming reception are
returning because they understand.
Numerous hockey players are regu-
lars at Little Daddy's ... That guy at
the cash register could be Chicago
Blackhawk Bob Probert ... or the fel-
low going around pouring coffee
might be Detroit Red Wing star Dar-
ren McCarty.
Breakfast time in particular is when
the hockey boys like to hang out at
Little Daddy's.
There is a Kids Stuff sector on the
large menu for youngsters 10 and
under ... The young `uns love it
because of being able to get what they
want ...just like mom and dad.
Little Daddy's may be a full-service
restaurant but Coneys are still the big
thing ... with about 2,500 pounds
being sold weekly.
Those homemade desserts, along
with the rice pudding which brings
smiles of approval from aficionados,
have become more than just after-
lunch or dinner goodies ... They have
also made Little Daddy's the place to
go following movies or around-town
happenings.
As had been forecast, it is fast
becoming a favorite place to go for
good food and to see and be seen.
Large opening crowds at Little
Daddy's were expected ... but not this
much ... So give the fellows a lot of
credit for finally smoothing things
out.
The avalanche of people was like a
stampeding herd that waits for no
man ... Thankfully it has been cor-
ralled.
A THIRD LARGO'S will open in
the northwest sector when another son
of the three Larco brothers (Pete, Nick
and Mike) who owned and operated
the noted Larco's Inn that opened in
1950 on McNichols and San Juan,
puts his name out front.
Mike Larco's Italian restaurant is
slated for around spring of 1998 at
Simsbury Plaza off Farmington Road
and 14 Mile ... He is the son of Pete
Larco.
Another opening soon at the for-
mer Sahara site in Orchard Mall,
Orchard Lake Road, is Ernest Larco's
Italian dining spot ... He is the son of
Nick Larco.
